A new Epoch starts when a player needs to draw a cards and the draw pile is empty. All cards played in the previous Epoch are shuffled with the cards for the current Epoch to form the new draw pile. Note that cards listed as 1x and 2x are NOT shuffled into the draw pile for a new Epoch. These cards are set aside once played.

The abbreviations listed by the leaders can be used during the purchase phase to reference those leaders. (and save some typing)
